Originally from Queens, New York, founding members and brothers Dave and Norman
Fernandez took the name of their home town and named their band. They were one of
the first locally popular Local bands in South Florida with a huge following. Their music
consisted of the popular charted music of the time, doing hard hitting covers from The
Young Rascals and like groups. Their popularity earned them a house band spot at the
Place.
The original members of the Queen’s Kids included Dave and Norman Fernandez,
vocals, Paul Amici, drums and vocals, later replaced by Carlos Rodriguez (aka Carlo
Driggs), percussion and vocals, Victor Angulo, guitar and vocals.
The band underwent many personnel changes and later played popular night spots like
the Hump Room at the Marco Polo Hotel as well as Rum Bottoms ( which would later
become The Limelight ), the Castaways Wreck Bar and the Inner Circle. At that time,
the Queen’s Kids consisted of John Bauer, guitar and vocals, Paul Saca, keyboards and
vocals, Carl Catalano, drums and vocals, and Pete Napoles, bass and vocals.

KRACKER
The band was originally formed in South Florida in 1970,
but moved to Chicago in April 1971, where they were
introduced to producer Jimmy Miller. With Miller, they
recorded their first album, La Familia, which was
released on ABC Dunhill in 1972. Their second album,
Kracker Brand, was produced and released the next
year on ABC Dunhill.
In early 1973, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards
developed an interest in Kracker, resulting in a deal
whereby the band's second album was licensed for
distribution outside America by Rolling Stones Records,
making Kracker the first band on that label.
